Inside the book
The book is a journey into the Mystical Phenomenon, quite outside our everyday experience. Mystical portals, interdimensional travel, and strange warps in Time and Space are some of the core themes.
What begins with the mysterious disappearance of political prisoners, British policemen, and doctors while being escorted to the deadly Cellular Jail in Port Blair on an ill-fated day develops into a deep mystery and intrigue.
Almost a hundred years after this disappearance, the reader is catapulted into the dense jungles of Port Blair, Havelock Island, to a sleepy fishing town, Port Nolloth, South Africa, and to the very highest peaks of the Aravali ranges.
The book deals with both kinds of Interdimensional Beings: at one end of the 'spectrum' are highly evolved Light Beings, and at the very extreme are the entities with extremely evil intentions. The conflict forms part of the grand tapestry.
Atharv Ved has a lot to battle for: his love, a promise to affect a cure for an almost incurable disease, invisible entities with deadly intentions, and much more. Will he succeed in saving the Magnificent Eighth?

Born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, Ravi Shanker has done his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya in different parts of India, like Imphal, Port Blair, Mount Abu, and New Delhi. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree. The very cause of being a voracious reader of Philosophy, Astronomy, and Psychic Phenomena paved the way for a deep passion to narrate stories as well. His first book "Collision of Dimensions" and its sequel "The Call of the Mayavi" are the results of this passion. He works as a Business Intelligence Analyst and Manager L&D in an Analytics and Consulting Firm in Hyderabad.
